Stencil duplicator masters will be available with various headers at the con. Spirit duplicator masters, ditto.
Working stencil duplicators will be cranked, and with a favourable wind and if the crick don’t rise, a revitalized 750 lpi electrostenciller will be available in its full ozone-generating splendour, and will be run until it clears the room. (Macintosh rental & all-night copy shops are available within ten minutes’ walk or a short car or taxi ride.) Other repro machines for exhibit are welcome but PLEASE don’t abandon them. Ditto 6 is not responsible for any trading, bartering, or sale of duplicators and related equipment. We think it’s a good idea, but we don’t want any MORE old mimeos ourselves!
Membership
Supporting memberships are available for 10 of your local currency units: US dollars, Canadian dollars, Australian dollars, Austrian schillings, Ukrainian coupons, whatever. Publications are available for the usual SF fanzine usual: letters, contributions, &c.
Programming
The one track of programming will occupy the Mt Vernon Ballroom approx. 10 AM to 3 PM, after which attendees will be deemed sufficiently talked at and released to do more of their own talking.
We want to use the heck out of our function space, so we’re trying to come up with ways to keep you happy and present through the middle of the day. We have a number of interesting ideas for programming on hand, but we’re always open to suggestions. If you have some particular idea you think would work well as a program item, let us know and we’ll take it under consideration. • Function space (the Minuteman Room) will also be available Sunday morning, though no programming is planned for Sunday. The Con Suite will be available at hours when other function spaces are closed.
We are sorry to say that access to the Mt Vernon Ballroom is by a seven-step stairway only, at this time. The Sheraton Commander Hotel is working on ways to improve access for people challenged by stairs, but is unlikely to have completed the work by the date of the convention. In the mean time, washroom facilities and Saturday’s program room are at opposite ends of this stairway.
